here's the bad part: I'm Asian...and worst, I'm chinese :(

female, in case you're wondering. I live in the suburbs of philadelphia ;)

I appreciate your time, thanks! :D

Nice stats, I think you have a great shot at Princeton (and Harvard as well).

^thank you very much!

Good chances… you got a lot of leadership positions. I’m can’t say if it’s good or bad, but it looks like you got yourself stretched pretty thin across the board in that area.

^um is that bad? haha it’s not like I petitioned for those positions…i was just elected

bumpppppppppppppp

you should put this in the Chance Me thread on CC. None of the less, your chances are high.

I wish my school gives 5.1 GPAs! Hahahha

Your stats are really in the top 10% of those admitted to Princeton.

Your EC’s are pretty good. What was your national rank in the spelling bee? Is that the one out of like 10 million people? I know someone here who placed in the top 10 out of 10 million or so.

Djokovic- there’s a chance me thread on cc? and btw I love novak djokovic, if thats who your usename is referring to ;)

randombetch- nice username lol. and as for my spelling bee result, I didnt do great. I think it was 40 or 50. but it was an awesome experience. and yeah its out of several million middle schoolers. wow if that person placed in the top 10, that’s an awesome accomplishment. the finals are broadcasted on ABC primetime. a friend of mine placed 3rd the same year I went. if you’re a spelling bee enthusiast, you probably know her- saryn rebecca hooks

I will be utterly shocked and angry if you don’t get in. Your stats are incredible.

I would say that you’re an upgraded version of what I’m trying to become. I wish my school gave APs 6 points for an A. No way Honors deserves the same as an AP.

Anyone who takes Honors when an AP is available is a corndog, a wiener (Weakling) trying to pretend that they’re not. They should just offer AP and regular for courses like Chemistry and History, and just tell all those who would have taken Honors to either get tougher or go to the regular version.

No, having lots of positions isn’t a detriment at all… That’s fantastic. The more, the better. Obviously you have to be dedicated to become President.

Honestly, the only thing against you is your ethnicity, which you can do nothing about. (I am Asian as well.) But with such great stats, I think that you’ll get in anyway.

wow thanks saugus. are you applying for class of 2014 also? yeah my school gives 5.7 for an A+, 5.5 for an A, and 5.3 for an A-. the level below AP is seminar, which is 5.2 for an A+, and honors is 4.7 for an A+.
good luck from a fellow asian  I hope you’re right.

You have great stats but so do a lot of other applicants and you have to keep that in mind. A 2400 is a dime in a dozen and 5s on APs happen way too often.
I think your extracurriculars are great but they’re kind of scattered (your music accomplishments are awesome). I guess what I’m saying is, is that you have a chance but from looking at this list I don’t really have a sense of what your passions are. Do you love music or do you want to be a politician or a businesswoman? I think if you are able to convey your true passions through your essays that will increase your chances more than your list here because we all know that a 2400 and a whole list of leadership positions is only the baseline for getting into Princeton. Hope this helped.

thanks sujinpark! Actually, I am looking toward business, but great advice on the essays. ill try to incorporate that

good chance
