I’m already worried that I have too many reaches, and I’m thinking about removing Columbia or Brown University for another college. Are there any better alternatives? I am receiving too much pressure from my father to keep the Ivies on the list, but I feel that my chances are already low enough. I also have 5 other colleges I did not list because they are my matches and safeties. Furthermore, I got to admit that my EC is on the weaker side. Financial aid is also an issue, but I cannot go in depth because I do not have a lot of information about it.

Slim to none, unless your portfolio is amazing.

The Ivies are reaches for even the most qualified of students. There are a lot of colleges out there that would be ecstatic to have someone of your caliber, but for the Ivies, you have a very very slim chance. Your rigor (only 2 AP classes/tests) and SAT are on the low end for these schools, and your ECs are definitely on the low end, which is what is probably the weakest link in your application. These top schools want kids who are extremely involved. Like I said, there are a ton of colleges who would kill for you, but I think applying to the Ivies is not a good idea as you could use your time to apply to other more realistic colleges.
