Chance me please

<p>I'm a senior at a FrenchIB high school in Egypt, i'm applying as a resident though since my mom lives in Maryland and i used to live there also.</p>

<p>My sat scores are:
CR:650
M:720
W:640
I'm taking these IB courses:
Math HL : Average is 5/7
Physics HL: 4-5/7
Chemistry SL: 4/7
English A1 SL: 4/7
French A2 HL: 6/7
Economics SL: 4/7</p>

<p>All my subjects are taught in French (Except English of course)</p>

<p>I'm very fluent in English, French and Arabic.
Activities:
Model United Nations Club for 4 years.
Participated in 4 conferences (chair of committees in last two) in Egypt and 2 abroad in Paris
Volleyball team for two years till i broke my shoulder two years ago
Volunteered twice at a charity organisation where people donate cloths and food (organize the stuff)
Volunteered with school to go recycle hay from rice fields so farmers don't burn them for two days in a row.
Summer job in 2008 at an environmental NGO.</p>

<p>I'm applying for a major in aerospace engineering and possibly a minor in Astronomy.</p>

<p>First of all you seem like a really interesting guy. Maryland’s incoming class is just getting more and more awesome isn’t it? </p>

<p>Your SAT scores are spot on for Maryland, enough to qualify you for honors or scholars programs and competitive majors like engineering and business.</p>

<p>Of course your language fluency, experience abroad, and internship-like experiences in Egypt will also look great and help you stand out.</p>

<p>Unfortunately I’m not familiar with the IB system except that it’s very rigorous (often considered more rigorous that APs). I don’t really know what X/7 means or if that’s very good. What are your grades like? Mostly As? Mostly As and Bs? If so I think you are definitely in.</p>
