<p>Usual caveats about chance threads being random, at best.</p>
<p>On the face of it, your chances would not seem to be super strong for Vassar. Your grades are good and your EC activities are good too, but your test scores are not in the 25 - 75% target range for Vassar. Without a strong hook, Vassar would seem to be a stretch for you.</p>
<p>I would not put too much stock into what the poster above said. I’m a current Vassar student and I got in regular decision with SAT scores lower than yours and my grades were maybe a tad higher, but not much. Granted, I put a lot of effort into my personal essay and “your space” section of the application, so that could help. And I got along unusually well with my interviewer. But with all this said, your scores will not keep you out, just make sure you make yourself standout as an individual with the rest of your app.</p>
