<p>My common app essay is excellent. I wrote about the way my perception of books changed as I grew up, tied it in with Peter Pan a little. My optional essay was about how I suck at science but hey, I tried my best. (It sounds bad, but I assure you it was well written and witty to boot)</p>

<p>Uhhh thanks victorjg… I think… somehow I get the impression that because I’m asian, my stats aren’t as impressive as they would have been if I wasn’t. But whatever! Can’t help my nationality!</p>

<p>if anything your nationality will help, not hurt you. vanderbilt is looking for diversity b/c it has a reputation of not being diverse.</p>

<p>Yeah most top colleges have an over-saturation of Asians, but Vandy doesn’t. I’d say you definitely have a chance, but with the acceptance rate going lower and lower every year, you just never know.</p>

<p>I was actually told by an admissions counselor that Asians are underrepresented at Vandy… Not sure how true that is, but just what i was told.</p>

<p>haha i actually live there too. my dad, stepmom, and stepbros lives in Old Bridge :D</p>
