Chance me, please?

Hello everyone!

Being that college admissions is becoming increasingly more competitive each year, I am stressing about whether or not I will be accepted to the University of Washington. Waiting until March 15th causes so much anxiety! It is definitely my top school and has been for the past few years. Here is my info:

In-state. Unweighted GPA: 3.81. I've taken rigorous classes all 4 years, including this year (senior year). I've taken a total of 12 honors class along with 5 AP classes. However, my SAT score is rather low at a 1710: Writing (630), Critical Reading (560), Math (520). :(

Nonetheless, I wrote an incredible essay which i'm very happy about.

I've been very active in my school community. In the section that asks you to journal five activities, I wrote on:
1) Shift manager at my job since spring of sophomore year
2) Current Yearbook Editor
3) Hurricane Katrina Mission trip
4) School Retreat Leader
5) Choir/Drama since sophomore year

Insights, anyone?

I would say your chances are good. Not a slam dunk though. Good luch and keep us posted.

thank you, bgbinc!

I agree with bgbinc. You have a decent chance of being admitted, but it depends on how good your essays are (which is very subjective). Weak essays may hold you back. I wouldn’t be surprised if you were admitted, and I wouldn’t be surprised if you were not.
