Hello, first post here!

I would IDEALLY like to go to University of Utah, Boise State, or U of Colorado at Boulder.
My class has roughly 350 people in it. I am currently a sophmore.... (I know.. I know...). But college has been interesting me so much. I am rank 45 in my class.
My freshman GPA (weighted) was 3.82
This year (weighted) predicted GPA is 3.87
I anticipate having a GPA between 3.8 and 4.0 for my jr. And sr. Year.

I scored a 1760 on PSATS. This will improve dramaticly for I have only taken it once and was not farmiliar with the test.

Extracurriculars:
Ski club (Freshman, Sophmore-Senior)
Chess club (Freshman, Sophmore-Senior)
Forensics (Freshman)
Cross Country team (Sophmore-Senior)
Track and field (Freshman, Sophmore - Senior)
Club soccer team (freshman- Senior)

These are just projections.

So please and thank you!

You probably mean you got a 176 on the PSAT, which is a nice score as a sophomore. You probably have a decent shot at all the colleges you mentioned. But a warning about your “projections.” Don’t keep your expectations high. I was a JV Volleyball captain as a freshmen, and I practiced with the Varsity (After JV season was over, Varsity had playoffs), and the Varsity coach told me she was going to bump me up to Varsity when I became a sophomore.

To my absolute dismay, both JV and Varsity coaches were changed the year I became a sophomore (this year). I wasn’t bumped up to Varsity (Our school’s general rule is that both JV and Varsity try out together, and the top 15 are accepted into Varsity) because the coach wanted separate tryouts. And I didn’t even get to be JV captain because the coach was unbelievably ridiculous and didn’t believe in captains. Her exact words: “I’m the coach. That makes me the captain. You do what I say.”

I think you are pretty well rounded, and I think you have a really good chance of getting into those three places. Keep striving for better grades and test scores throughout HS and continue to do a variety of ECs as well.
Best of Luck!

chance me back please
