Make sure you write a strong essay focusing on your strengths and why you would be a good fit for GWU. Your stats look good but their applications are higher than ever so you need to make a compelling argument for why someone from the midwest wants to come to DC. Your legislative internship is good to highlight.

I see you are interested in a number of very selective and highly ranked schools. (and rightly so). You have an excellent candidate profile. My only caution: If you are truly interested in GW, be clear that you are not viewing it as a safety school. As many before me have said, demonstrated interest is key.

Make sure your essays and recommendations are strong. Sure, others have equal or higher (or lower) stats, so don’t flake on the essay or recommendations. Focus on why you’re interested in GW, what makes you unique, and what you can offer it (and vice versa).

I would be surprised if you DIDN’T get in. I say, apply. It sounds like you have a strong chance, and your test scores/GPA are in range.
