please help me out guys im curious to see if i have any kind of shot

anyone have any ideas

44% shot at Bowdoin.
32% shot at Cornell.
27% shot at Brown.
19% shot at Dartmouth.
4.3% shot at Harvard.

Ensure that your voice comes through strongly and clearly in your essays. Best of luck.

You test scores look to be the weakest part of your app, but only because the rest of your app is strong. At Dartmouth last year the median CR & M scores for those admitted were 740 & 760. (This Page Has Moved; see page 3) Dartmouth had a 15% increase in apps this year and after the ED admits, estimates are they will only be admitting about 8-9% of the RD applicants. Your chances are probably above that, maybe 15-20%.

I don’t know the other schools as well, but chances at Brown would probably be similar to Dartmouth and less at Harvard. Cornell didn’t see any increase in apps this year and your chances would be better there, but may depend upon which program you are applying to. Cornell has some has some pretty good admission data online that should give you a better idea. I don’t know enough about Bowdoin to offer an opinion.

You have a good chance at any of the because anything is possible, plus your academics are outstanding. I believe that at least one of them will accept you, so Good Luck!

Thank you very much guys that is very helpful and I think my essays did stand out pretty well i wrote about construction and what it has taught me and i wrote about some of the other thing that i do outside of school

gildo out of curiosity where did you come up with those figures?

I felt bad that nobody had responded to your post, so I just made 'em up. (You seem like such a smart kid, I know you will get into one of those schools.)(Take everything you read on CC with a grain of salt.)

Haha thank you I appreciate that and Ive come to the conclusion that whatever is meant to happen will happen.

Any one else have any input I will chance you back

I agree with the above posters. Those are reaches, but you may end up hitting one of them. The ‘construction’ thing is something that clearly differentiates you from the rest of the pool. Depending on how you wrote about it, it might work as a strong part of your application.

Good luck!
