I am currently student at Wake Forest University as a freshman with a gps of exactly 3.6 and want to transfer to either Emory, Northwestern, or UPenn. My EC involves being a member of model UN and a Coordinator of college democrats. My ACT was a 28 and my High school GPA was 3.8 unweighted and 4.6 weighted. I was the president of a few clubs there as well and have two great teachers willing to write recommendations. What would my chances be at these places?

Based of my classload this semester Im assuming my GPA will get pulled up anywhere to a 3.7-3.8 but that will probably go on my midterm report. And would it be better to apply for next semester or the spring term?

Your stats are pretty strong and you should have a good shot at getting into top schools. In particular, Emory is known to be transfer-friendly. UPenn may be a reach, as it is a competitive Ivy with a low transfer admit rate.

Note that if you are a transfer applicant, you will need letters of recommendation from college professors, not high school teachers.
