Teacher Recommendations:

Very high up...:

1) One teacher wants me to start a business and hire him for it
2) I bailed out a school club in two months that had no funds and had loans to pay off... we ended up with like $200 in surplus... that's how I became the Treasurer of Engineering Club a couple months after I joined
3) Another teacher sees me with so much dedication that she looks up to me
4) There's one teacher that likes how I never give up no matter what even though I've had an amazing childhood (hugh drunk family, lower middle class, I think she's exaggerating it)
- I could go on... I'm just trying to make the point that my teachers typically think well of me

Volunteer Internship at a local senior retirement center as an Activities Assistant (10-12)

Work:

A couple summer jobs here and there... bosses view highly of me

College Courses at Community College:

Pre-Calc over the summer with a B final average

I'm not trying to sound cocky... I'm just trying to give some straight talk... what are the best, worst, and most matched colleges for me? Thanks!

whered u apply

Harvard
Yale
Princeton
Stanford
Carnegie Mellon
Brown
Dartmouth
Maryland - College Park
Maryland - Baltimore County
Columbia
Cornell
Boston University
California - Los Angelos

…I know I forgot some place…oh wait…

Johns Hopkins, lol

All the ivy leagues are reaches for anyone and everyone. Nothing can really guarantee u acceptance into ivies but i believe u do stand a chance for admission. for Maryland and Boston U, i think u wiill probably get in. and for ucla, if ur out of state, its gonna be tough.

I am out of state… thanks for the straight talk though… I don’t like people bs-ing me, lol.

np good luck with everythin

Your stats seem a bit low for ivies and you dont have anything standout except maybe LOR.

Does making it to Nationals for FBLA & Vex Robotics count by any chance?

dont worry the initial screening in the ivies…your essay has to be inspiring…really really good…like it should make you stand out of the applicant pool. and your ec’s should be conveyed to the adcoms and in the supp. app. easily…because my cousin who had a 3.2 gpa and mediocre ec’s got there because of his extraordinary life experience. he went to afghanistan to help the people there who were badly affected by war. he was then unable to leave afghanistan because of the taliban(long story)…he wrote about how, for a good education, he got away from them. remember inspiring moments from yur volunteering etc and write them…
shahrez

that was med school though…:)

Ok, thanks!

Does making it to Nationals for FBLA & Vex Robotics count by any chance?

of course it does!!!
dont leave anything…convey every tiny detail…somehow.(for the ivies)

^ Just did

Who gave this five stars?

Work on your SATs.

^ 1) I don’t know…
2) I will

I’m a bit worried right now for some of my college applications too.
I never was at the very top of my class, and I’m really worried that I won’t make cuts. Would anyone mind chancing my stats? (only if it’s okay with the OP. I don’t wanna jack his thread.)

What a terrible list of schools you applied to. Three-ish matches and 11 reaches. Sigh.
