Chance me please

Hi,

Will I get into the engineering program with these stats:

SATs: 690M 610W 600 CR (1st time)
600M 610W 630 CR (2nd time)

I know that TAMU only uses M+CR, so do will they take the best sections? So would my score be 1320 or will they take only use one of the SAT scores.

My GPA: is a 3.39 (I am OOS in a competitive school)

I dont have a class rank but TAMU gave me a rank of first quarter...
I have adequate amount of EX and activities...

Thanks

A&M only takes single sitting scores for the SAT. They do not superscore. Even so, you made 600 and better on the math and reading sections with a total of 1300 on your SAT the first time. That coupled with your assigned ranking of top quarter should make you an academic auto-admit whether you are in-state or out-of-state.

However, at this point in the application process, I think most of the engineering majors are full. Have you already been admitted? Are you asking if you will be able to transfer into engineering? The answer would be yes, but probably not until at least after your first freshman semester.

In, probably admitted into your choice of industrial or electrical.

I already admitted my application in November…thanks a lot for the response…and I am not transferring…I did not get admitted yet…its been 2 months so far so I am worried…

So you think I should be fine?

Your stats are very comparable to mine and I got accepted about a month and a year ago.

I had like a 1290 on my SAT
29 on ACT
I’m from Texas however
Top 20% at a very competitive high school

We have/had very similar stats so in my opinion unless they don’t like out of staters you should be admitted.

Thanks a lot you guys!!

Any more comments??? Thanks in advance!!!
