<p>I know that the RD admissions decisions will be coming out very soon, but I am like freaking out so I would like to know what my chances are? </p>

<p>School: I go to a decent school with a majority being asian
Gender: Female
Race: Asian
GPA: unweighted: 3.91/weighted: 4.2
ACT: 29
Class Rank: 20/530 (Top 4%)
AP Classes: 11th grade: AP English, AP Environmental Science 12th grade: AP Literature, AP Calculus AB
-took many honors classes (9th - 12th grade)
Activities:<br>
-Varsity Cheerleader (4 years) - National Champions
-10th grade - Scholastic Chair
-11th grade - Varsity Yell Co-Captain and Secretary
-12th grade - Pep Squad Vice-President and Head Mascot
-National Honors Society (2 years) - Director of Publicity
-Class of 2011 Committee (4 years) - Director of Spirit
-Model United Nations (3 years) - Awards include Best Delegate and outstanding awards at college conferences
-Peer Counselor (1 year) - Discontinued after 1 year
-World Visions Director of Activities (1 year)
-Community Service:
-private tutored elementary students and high school students (spanish)
-hosted a shoe drive for Haiti (collected several hundred pairs of shoes)
-hosted an animal food drive for local animal shelter
-Played piano since 5/accomplished the Advanced Level in 9th grade
-also a State Finalist in a piano competition
-Recommendations: Counselor, Spanish 3H teacher, and Algebra2/Precalculus teacher
-Essay: About overcoming a severe eating disorder/depression during sophomore/junior year

<p>I really want to get into Boston College, it is my number one choice!<br>
Other schools I got into are UC San Diego, UC Davis, and UC Irvine.</p>

<p>ACT is a bit low I think, but ECs seem good! what were your AP test scores? I would think you would have a decent chance… goodluck!</p>

<p>LOL my ap scores weren’t that high… I got a 3 on AP English and a 2 on AP Environmental Science :confused: My counselor thinks that I have a high chance, but I’m just a little paranoid because I really want to go to BC! </p>

<p>btw, I thought that colleges don’t consider AP scores until after you get admitted? LIke they only look at it to see if you get credit?</p>

<p>Yeah, I’m not sure why people are looking at AP scores as part of the application because they really don’t count for that</p>

<p>Well decisions were mailed out Wednesday, and if you got a response already I hope you got in. Your ACT is still within the the middle 50%, lower end of it but still in. You’re GPA is still up there too not to mention you balanced that with extensive extra-curriculars. You look to be in good shape. Friends tell me in their admissions packages and such they stated that BC had over 33,000 applicants this year, so the typical stats may be out with such a high number, but any who you still look to be in good shape. I hope for the best for you!</p>
