I'm hoping to apply to SUNY Binghamton or Ganeseo, could someone tell me what my chances are:

Irish Leaving Cert exam results in top 25% of the country
Exam results in top 10% of my grade
I haven't taken the SAT yet but am going to do it in the Fall

Came first in my class in freshman and sophmore year
Played soccer and basketball for my school team for 3 years
Done work experience in a pharmacy and medical instrument factory
Volunteer in a eldery care home and charity store every weekend for the last year
Have had two part time jobs and currently working in McDonalds for the last 2 months
First generation to go to college

Don't know how much of this is relevant. I would love to hear your opinions on my chances for the above colleges. I hope to major in Biology. Also if you know any good schools with international tuition under 20,000 dollars, I would love to hear about them.
Thanks!

You need to start by reading through everything (and I do indeed mean everything) at [EducationUSA | Study Abroad, Student Visa, University Fairs, College Applications and Study in the U.S. / America](http://www.educationusa.info/) Then you should make an appointment with the counselors at the advising center in Dublin [EducationUSA - Center Profile - The Fulbright Commission - Ireland](http://www.educationusa.info/Fulbright-Ireland) If you cannot visit in person, find out how much help they can give you by email or telephone. They are expert at helping students from Ireland find good places to study in the US.

You also should spend time in the International Students Forum. You will get some good ideas there: [International Students - College Confidential](International Students - College Confidential Forums)

There are very few colleges and universities in the US that have total Cost of Attendance (COA) of USD 20,000 or less for international students. Unfortunately, most of the college-matching search engines don’t include living expenses, and only let you search based on tuition and fees. If you run [College MatchMaker - Type of School](<a href=“College Search - BigFuture | College Board”>College Search - BigFuture | College Board) you can click “Cost & Financial Aid” and then select maximum out-of-state tuition and fees of $10,000 to find places that might work for your total budget. This would leave about $10,000 for housing, meals, books, transportation, etc. Check each website for the estimated COA and see what is included so that you can find out if the institution is affordable for you.

Wishing you all the best!

Thanks for the links!
Just to clear something up though, I can spend up to 20,000 on tuition alone not including everyting else, I have other money saved up for accomadation/food etc.
