chance me, please!!

<p>hello, everyone (: here's my basic resume outline. please chance me at the schools listed below!!</p>

<p>Background:
• State: KY
• School Type: best public in the state
• Ethnicity: White
• Gender: female</p>

<p>Stats:
• GPA UW: 3.89
• GPA W: 4.23
• Rank: school doesn't rank!
• SAT: 2140 latest, but can probably bring it up to at least 2240
• SAT II: don't know my results yet, but took math 2 and us history
• ACT: 33 (35 Critical Reading/34 English/32 Math/31 Science/10 on essay)
• AP: Human Geography (5), Euro (5), US History, Psychology, English Language (don't know scores for last 3 yet but definitely 4's or 5's)
• Senior Schedule: AP AB Calc, AP Comparative Government , AP French Language, AP English Lit, Humanities, Photography II, Adv Physics
• definitely National Merit Semifinalist, probably finalist as well, hopefully AP Scholar</p>

National Honors Society
Beta Club
Mock Trial: 3-year captain, one of lead lawyers, state runners-up
Science fair for 3 years</p>

Tutoring through NHS
Extensive service at local urban farming non-profit organization
Work with refugees in my area--arranged a home goods drive to benefit them last summer
Some service at my church
volunteered at library 2 summers ago (1.5 hrs/week)
volunteered at hospital 1 summer ago (3 hrs/week)</p>

<p>Work:
This summer, I'm nannying for 2 boys</p>

<p>Other:
I've gotten accepted into 2 prestigious leadership programs throughout high school, 1 involving political activism and the other involving non-profit work</p>

<p>My top choices right now are (in no order):
Bowdoin,
Davidson,
Haverford,
Williams,
Amherst,
Pomona</p>

<p>and then there are some schools that I'm applying to that I can get into for sure...but I'm really worried about those 6, especially after seeing the absolutely incredible resumes that so many people on this site have!!! aaah so I'd really appreciate it if people would offer insight on how I measure up, or what I can do to boost my resume, or any suggestions on schools that I would have a better shot at getting in to but are similar to those 6. Because honestly, I don't even know if I'm being realistic with these schools, so a bit of perspective would be greatly appreciated.</p>

<p>so, you’ve got decent scores and grades, that will only get you so far. what you really need is some spectacular ECs, and right now you are majorly lacking in that dept. However, I don’t think some of the schools you listed would be unreasonable to get into with those grades though. Davidson will be easy (i live in NC and see a lot of people get in there), and that is a fabulously regarded school in NC, you SATs are above bowdoin’s average I think, so you’ll have a good chance there as well. If you apply Early Decision to williams, amherst or any of the other ULTRA competitive schools you listed, you’ve got a fabulous shot. that’s what i recommend. good luck!!!</p>
