Chance me please!?

I am going to be a Junior in a Maryland Catholic College Prepatory School. My current GPA is a 4.0 unweighted and a 4.4 weighted. My school does not offer AP Classes until sophmore year, and only a history AP is available to be taken. I took AP Government this past year. I have taken around 4 Honors Courses as well, the max I could have taken was 6 these past two years. The reason I was not in the two honors courses was because of scheduling conflicts, which I think colleges see. I have over 300 Service Hours that include me volunteering at the hospital every week, playing piano for elderly people in nursing homes, and helping autistic children at one of the local special education programs. I am involved in many clubs including The Latin Honor Society, Ski Club, A Club that Raises money for kids with Childhood Cancer, Student Ambassadors (40 students are selected each year to serve as a "leader" to new students for the year), Students Against Destructive Descisions, and A Club that involves debating on recent Political News. I am still preparing for the SAT. I play piano, golf, and ski (as said before) we are planning on starting a golf program next year that I will participate in.

My Classes are:

Freshman-
English 09 Honors (A+)
Honors Beg. Physics (A+)
World History (A+) highest grade in the class for one semester
Geometry sophmore course
Theology I (A+) Highest Grade in the class for one semester
Latin 1 (A+) highest grade in the class for both semesters

Highest GPA in Freshman Class (a tie)

Sophmore:
AP Gov (A+)
English 10 Honors (A+)
Bio Honors (A+)
Algebra II (A+)
Theology II (A+)
Latin II (A+)

Most Likely Highest GPA in Sophmore Class

My school only gives out highest GPA's and Highest Grades in classes, but they do not disclose class rank overall. I am definitely first or second of all kids (out of around 70)

Brown and Columbia are my top schools that I want to go to. So, am I good enough?

Also, I forgot my awards, not many, but there are a few:
Hospital Auxilary Award
Junior Volunteer Award for 100 hospital hours
About to receive next one for 200
Cum Laude- National Latin Exam

So far so good, keep up the good work, ECs and the grades and you’ll have a decent shot :)

Thanks…bummmmp

Your volunteer work is excellent. Make sure to PREPARE for the SATs - they could make you or break you!

Thanks, freak, I have been taking sat practice for about 6 months and from that practice and PSAT I am looking at a possible 2200.

Another thing, make sure those practice test are all from College Board, don’t take anything not from CB, you can use Kaplan or PR’s strategies but don’t use their test because it’ll give you fake results. So always use CB’s test if your not already. Good luck again :)

Yes. My prep teacher will only use College Board practice test for that same reason. Thanks for the headsup though!

Bump…

Hi, i want to major in environmental science and i was wondering if Columbia is a good college for it.
Thankyou

Does anybody see any glaring weaknesses in my application as of right now. I am looking to start a Science club (which I am working out with the head of the science department now), to set an obvious theme in my EC’s with medicine, because I want to be pre med. So, does any body see weaknesses I could work on?

Bump…

Bump again. Do you guys see weaknesses? And what would my overall chances be assuming I would get my projected 2200 on the sat?

Also, I am a semi finalist for a poem contest. It has been published in a book set to come out in September.
