<p>Hi, I'm an entering senior in high school wondering what I could expect on admissions/where I am likely to get in.</p>

<p>Highly ranked NJ Public School</p>

<p>GPA: 3.4 UW :/ 3.9W
SAT I: 2270 (CR:710 M:790 W:780)
ACT: not received yet
SAT IIs:
Chem: 740 :/
US Hist: 740 :|
Math 1: 800
Math 2: 800
APs: not in yet (5s likely on Calc AB, US Hist, Chem, and Lang&Comp)</p>

<p>All honors classes and APs (1 soph, 4 junior, and 5 senior year) in school</p>

<p>Eagle Scout
150+hrs community service
many awards/invitational tests
Summer Institute for the Gifted Program done 2 summers in a row

<p>I really like MIT and Dartmouth (Engineering) but I intend to apply to many others from many regions, all in the same level of selectivity.
Please help, I'm so nervous for all this :)</p>

<p>Your GPA is whats really going to hurt you IMO, can you put your transcript (just list out your grades and what the class was) to see if you are just bad in one subject or something. Tests and all are great, but GPA screams laziness (when foiled against the tests)</p>

<p>Your test scores are pretty stellar, but I agree with patriotsfan1: your GPA is very low. If I were you, I’d spend all of first semester getting high grades and wait until second semester to apply to colleges if possible, that way theyse can see your first semester senior grades and your improvement. MIT and Dartmouth seem like possibilities.</p>
