Chance me please!

Hi there. I'm a senior, and I'm getting pretty neurotic about getting into college. I'd really appreciate some chances before I start applying. Here's my info.

GPA: 2.727 unweighted. I don't know weighted because my school only tells on request.
ACT: 27, thinking of retaking.
Majoring in History
4 on AP US History test (tested in sophmore year)
3 on AP Government test
Independent studying AP Euro History next year.
Taking AP Psych as well.
Rigorous courseload all through HS
Low GPA due to math and lack of skill in that department.

EC's:
JV Tennis 1 year
Secretary General of my school's chapter of Junior Statesmen of America
Creative writing club
2 lead roles in school plays
Founding member of school's lacrosse team
Class Council 2 years

I'm planning on applying to:
UChicago (just for kicks and giggles, I know that one's hopeless based on my stats)
Michigan State University (First choice)
Central Michigan University (Second Choice)
Ferris State
Ohio State
Boston U
Marquette
Arizona
Arizona State
and begging for suggestions in the Midwest area. The bigger the better.

I have 8 family members that went to Michigan State, which is my first choice.

I also don't want to apply for scholarships, so will that affect the admission decisions?

Thank you for any comments. Any and all suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Your GPA pretty much sabotages you. I honestly don’t know how they would look at that combination of GPA and ACT. Have you considered the possibility that you might have ADD or some other disorder? That is very unusual.

Anyway, as your stats stand, getting into a prestigious state university like MSU or OSU seems out of reach, but I won’t say completely out of the question. BU and UChicago, however, are just wasted application money. CMU and Ferris State look fine, would be surprised if you were rejected. Marquette is a reach. Both Arizona U’s look fine.

I once considered that I had ADD, however, I think that’s just a crutch that people use, and I frankly don’t want or need one. Thanks for the chances.

I’m also thinking of:
Oregon
LSU
Loyola Chicago
Kansas
Syracuse

I’m open to any Non-Big Ten school suggestions that are similar to Michigan State in size and type.
