I'm a female from New York. I have a 31 ACT and a 4.0 from great a public high school on Long Island. I have played soccer for 4 years on Varsity and I have been on Varsity Badminton for 4 years. I'm also all county for Badminton. I'm secretary of my school's chapter of National Honor Society. I'm a member of math and spanish Honor Societies as well. Lastly, I am the Editor-In-Cheif of my school's newspaper which is ranked high by Columbia Press Association.

I REALLY want to go to Tulane and I was wondering what my chances are at getting in and also what kind of scholarship package I would probably get. Thanks !

My D has roughly the same numbers as you, though you don’t say if your 4.0 is weighted or unweighted, so that may be a bit different between you and my d.

My D was accepted for her early action application and received a $22,000 merit aid as an incoming freshman this year.

I have heard that regular decision applicants with better test numbers were rejected this past year, so I would suggest showing Tulane the love and applying early action.

I’d also probably guess that you’d get the $22,000/year merit scholarship (which is roughly half of tuition). Also, depending on your family’s financial situation, you might get a LOT more money. They give out both extra need-based and extra merit scholarships to people with lower incomes (speaking from personal experience).

Also, I’d suggest that you apply for the Dean’s Honor Scholarship because, well, why not? Worst case scenario you wrote an essay. Best case scenario: no paying of tuition. Room and board is big enough of a burden.
