Wharton likes to see that you have already taken interest in business/finance before college, and none of your ECs seem to be remotely related to that. Other than that, your other stats are fine, so I’d say you have a decent chance. Not an excellent chance, but you definitely have the potential to get in…

Also, I suggest taking a Math Subject test. Even though it’s not required since you took the ACT, Wharton still likes to see a high level of math ability, and the admissions part of the website suggests you take a Math Subject test if you’re applying to Wharton.

^Not necessarily. Plenty of CCers can testify that they’ve gotten in with no business related ECs, no business internships, no business clubs/classes etc. Wharton itself says that no previous business-related experience is required for applicants. Obviously if you have an application that screams business, it can only help, but I don’t think anybody is at a disadvantage if they apply without such an application. Penn, including Wharton, wants students that have gone through secondary schooling doing things they love to do. If you can write honest and passionate essays about YOU that set you apart from the other applicants to Wharton who are going to be talking about business (there will be many), that’s an inherent advantage. Also, I know everyone is aware of it, but no matter what you do in high school, it is near impossible to say you have “an excellent chance,” even if they do something as great as start a business. So don’t lose hope, because you’re fine as is!

Anyways, onto other stuff. I agree with Samonuh on the Math SAT Subject test. Wharton wants it. Especially if you mention anywhere on your app that you want to go in Finance, you should at least show a background in math. Starting with a Math SAT, AP Calc, AP Stat, Diff eq’s, etc. All this can only help your chances.

Your ECs actually seem unique. From what I can tell, there aren’t many male dance/vocalists applying to Penn, let alone nationally ranked ones. If that’s something that makes you you, then don’t shy away from it.

I was planning on taking the SAT Subject test for Math Level 2. If I do well, is this the only SAT Subject test I need?

And regarding AP Math classes, I took AP Calculus AB (Junior Year) (4 on AP) and I am currently taking AP Calculus BC and AP Statistics.
