<p>2.4 GPA 30 ACT a bunch of EC's, a strong essay, Ohio Resident I have explained my problem with the GPA to the school. My only weak spot on my app is my GPA, and I know its very important. Do I have any shot of being accepted?</p>

<p>I dunno, that 2.4 is, to be frank, nothing short of atrocious. It’ll be tough to give a real good explanation for that. That 30 of course is very good, considering where your GPA is. I think you will need to have strong ECs, essays and recs along with getting a strong GPA this semester. In your case, you would probably want at least a 3.6 this semester to really convince the schools. The schools you are going for aren’t necessarily the most selective but even Ohio State has standards :P. Good luck and if you become a Buckeye, I hope it’s four years of football misery for you. lol</p>
