I've got this weird sense of confidence in myself and it that I'll fail... It's strange and confusing.

I think you pretty good. It always helps to be a minority or something, but with those amazing scores, I wouldnt worry too much.
I say that as long as you are underestimating your essays, you got a pretty good shot. :)

Thanks, I’m an Asian male… so… you know… that always helps. Also, does anyone know which essay they pay the most attention to, or is all pretty equal?

You are a very competitive applicant and your chances are excellent. Best of luck.

Thanks! It’s a bit reassuring, but will my lack of anything that is not an Asain-male staple doom me?

Academically, you would be in the top 25% of the admitted students and certainly have a better chance for admission than the average applicants. However, the admimssion rates for applicants with perfect SAT/ACT scores were still less than 50%. At this point, just keep your fingers crossed and try to relax as much as you can. Dec. 15 is only a few weeks away.

Thanks, anyone else?

Your scores are stellar, but I try and tell everyone that it all legitimately falls on the essays, EC’s, and interview report. I can bet they put a 2400 SAT and a 1900 SAT with similar GPA’s and courseloads side by side, and will read essays word for word not very well taking into account grades. The admissions committee looks so much for character, and passion for Harvard and changing the world. That, unique EC’s/experiences, and a killer interview are keys to an outstanding application, even if grades aren’t as good.

Thanks!

BTW I won a Siemens Award for AP. They only give out two a state… Does this count as a hook? And if so how much of a hook is it?

Read your we made it post. Congrats on the acceptance !!:icecream:
