Hey everyone,
I'm currently a freshman going to school at a CC. I'm hoping to transfer as a sophomore for Summer (any session) or Fall next year. Here are my grades, etc.

HS GPA: 3.1
College GPA: 3.5
ACT composite: 26
English: 28
Critical Reading: 31
Math: 20
Science: 25
Combined English/Writing: 26
SAT: 1830
Critical Reading: 680
Writing: 650
Math: 500
AP courses passed:
English Language: 3
English Literature: 4
College courses:
S1: Financial Acc, Stat, College Algebra, Intro to Business, Microcomputer App.
S2: likely to take: Managerial Acc, Env. Sci., Psych., Sociology, Tech. Communication
I will have 30 credits from the courses taken and up to 9 awarded for my AP scores..

You’ve got a fair chance as long as you have the minimum required 30 transferable credit hours. Double check with your CC guidance counselor that all of your courses are transferable–make sure courses like Tech. communication, Intro to Business, and Env. Sci are heavy duty enough. USF prefers undergraduate transfers with AA’s, but USF does admit qualified lower division applicants with at least 30 transferable credits. Apply early and see what happens; if you don’t apply your chance of admittance is certain…zero chance. Good luck!
