Dude, I’m only a Sophomore in high school, I live in Toms River, and I can tell you that you can get into Rutgers with a C-Average. You should have no problem, and something would be seriously wrong if you don’t get accepted. You can probably go for very cheap with those grades too. DON’T GO TO NEWARK! Pick New Brunswick.

Hey I live in NJ also and I was accepted to Rutgers SAS in New Brunswick last month. I have had many cousins go to Rutgers. I am the fifth person in my family to be accepted to Rutgers. Your SAT scores are definitely good enough to get in; my friends got in with scores in the 1600s. Your GPA isn’t bad so you are fine in that aspect as well. As for the essay, as long as there aren’t any huge grammatical mistakes and it sounds decent, you should be fine. Good luck!

Nothing wrong with Newark honestly. I go to that campus. I got into both nb and newark, chose newark because it’s an easier commute for me. The B-school in Newark isn’t all that bad either. You should be able to get in though. Although I only had a 3.0 when I transferred, I showed an upward trend(last few semesters at former school was in the 3.5-3.8 range). Show’s committment, and that’s what school’s like to see.
