Hello everyone =] I’m only a sophomore, but I’ve been set on BU for over a year now. That being said, since I am only a sophomore so I haven’t taken the SATs of ACT yet. However, here is my current info just to see if I’m on track.

*I plan on applying early decision to BU’s college of health and rehabilitation sciences under a human physiology major and a minor in italian.

-My GPA is 3.7ish
-I take all honors classes and I’m one year accelerated in math
-Every year since eighth grade I’ve been a medalist in the district and national spanish contest
-I am on my school’s swim team as well as an outside club team
-I work as a lifeguard
-Since I am applying to the health science school i feel the fact that I am certified in CPR,first aid, and oxygen administration is relevant
-I am in the medical scholar’s club
-I compete on the biology olympiad team
-I am involved with a local science symposium
-I am in color guard/marching band
-this year our band and color guard were state champions (it’s a big time commitment)
-I take private oboe lessons as well as play in a small chamber ensemble, I plan to continue to play in college
-I am in my school’s academically gifted program for having a GIEP(high IQ) and I’m currently completing an independent research study on stem cell medical therapies (by the end of senior year I will have done three of these independent studies)
- I teach group and private swimming lessons for two different organizations

-In my essay I’m going to write about how I have ankylosing spondylitis and I want to join the health care industry to become a pediatric rheumatologist to help kids with the same types of conditions that I have been afflicted with for my entire life and how I feel that I can really make a difference in the world of medicine because of my interest in sciences and also my own experiences.

So what do you suppose are my chances of BU so far? What can I do to improve my chances of getting into Sargent college? I know it’s hard to tell without SATs but thanks so much!
