Chance me please!

Hi guys!

I'm applying to UIUC, Gtech, MIT, Stanford, Umich, CMU, Cornell, Princeton (top 10) for ECE, RD as an international applicant. I've studied under the Indian system, so anything near even 96 out of 100 is quite rare.

Grades, tests scores etc:

Marks: 93.4/100 in 11th
9.6 GPA in 10th

SAT: 800 CR, 740 Math (lol), 760 Writing.
SAT Subject Tests: 800 Math, 800 Physics, 800 Chemistry

Courses:

For the Science stream (in which I'm enrolled), the subjects come as a pack, with a list of the courses below:

Maths with calculus
Physics, with calculus
Chem, with calculus
English
Computer Science

Plus I'm in a special program which trains kids for a special exam for entrance into Engg exams in India. More than 500,000 students write this exam, and only 8,000 are selected. I'm on course to be one of those 8,000. =D

Academic Awards:

Top of my class in Junior year, out of like 500 students.
Top 1% of my class in 9th grade.
Top in the English International Benchmark Tests conducted by the Australian Council for Educational Research in 10th in the entire Middle East.
Top in my country in Math and English in the same tests in 9th grade.

Extracurriculars:

1st position in national level quiz bowls, and won quite a few school level ones too.

Important member of school soccer team which finished third in a national level inter school championship.(Important as in the team would probably have leaked quite a few more goals without me)

Part of the school table tennis team.

MUN in 11th grade, but didn't really like it. =P

President of the quiz bowl society in my school, which basically trains students for national level quiz bowls.

Essays:

All of them are prety good, or so my teachers tell me.

Community work:

~60 hrs last summer teaching underprivileged Indian kids the basics of using a computer.

Ethnicity:

Indian male, international.

Thanks in advance!

You are applying to colleges that don’t offer financial aid to intls for most part. Your resume looks good enough for you to be applying to more HYPM schools. Other than that, the chances on your current list depend on the RD pool for the 2016 entering class.

^ I love the diplomacy of the above answer. And of Liveulife’s answers in general :D

I won’t comment any further :P

GTech has rolling admissions. You are probably already in. If you’re full pay…most likely in at Stanford. enjoy Palo Alto
