Class Rank: N/A (my high school took out rankings this year)</p>

<p>EC:
-Private tutor job (this year)
-Track & field team: JV for 9th/10th, Varsity for 11th/12th (co-captain)
-Interact Club: officer for 4 years, president during junior year
-Youth Alive: 4 years
-Choir club: 4 years
-French club: 3 years
-Volunteering at local soup kitchen for past 2 years
-American Cancer Society's Relay for Life: 2 years

<p>Languages: English, Mandarin, French (fluent in all three)</p>

<p>I'm an OOS student. I live in California. I know my GPA isn't high, but I hope that my extracurriculars and good essays will help. I didn't do very well during my freshman and sophomore years, but I got high semester GPAs during my junior year. Please chance me! Thank you! :)</p>

<p>They may compare your GPA against historical GPA’s from your school to obtain a pseudo-class rank. Do you feel like you are in the top 10%? 25%? Still, psychology isn’t a tough major to get in to, so I would like to think that you would get accepted as is.</p>

<p>You’ve got really good extracurriculars and awards. I think you stand a fair chance. When you applied, did you do the expanded resume and Essay C? Apparently that helps a lot. Good luck! :)</p>

<p>@frever: Am I at a disadvantage since I’m OOS and my school doesn’t have ranks anymore? I am definitely within the top 25%, but I am not within the top 10%. My school is extremely competitive :frowning: Thank you for your reply!</p>

<p>@laurennicole: Yes I did! I submitted both the expanded resume and Essay C. The Essay C fit under the same topic as one of the UC prompts, so I just reused that essay. Thanks for your reply! :)</p>

<p>Typically, OOS will hurt as well as not having a rank. The average student who gets accepted OOS has a good class rank, so it may hurt them if they can’t push that strong point in their app. However, a rank around 15-20% would be below average, so hiding your rank may be advantageous in your case. Nevertheless, UT implemented a holistic approach to reviewing applications this year and the rest of your application seems good enough to get you in to psych. You never know though :&lt;/p>
