Are you a Junior or a Senior?

As a homeschool mom, I will share with you what I was told by a college admissions counselor. An excellent GPA compared to low SAT/ACT scores equals grade inflation or very low rigor of courses. Particularly with homeschooled and small private schooled students.

I am sure that is not the case with you, but it is the reality of what is thought. If you are a Junior, you have time to retake the SAT and to take the ACT and get those scores up. You need to study for the tests or even a take a prep class, but it is important to prepare for these tests. There is a lot of emphasis placed on them.

I don’t know what your chances are at UGA, but you can look at their stats from last year and see how you compare. https://www.admissions.uga.edu/article/first-year-class-profile.html
