Chance me please

Hi everyone, I am a junior and want to apply as ED next year. Please tell me what are my chances of getting into NOTRE DAME.

SAT:2250 I don't remember the exact numbers as my mom has the password and does not divulge it to even me.

Unweighted GPA is 3.8
Took AP Bio and revived a 4 and I am taking 4 this year: Ap Enviro, Us, Chem and Lang. SAT II BIO 740

I have done some community services in a youth organization racked up 80 plus hours form 9th grade and have volunteered in a hospital for 40 plus hours. I learn Vocal Indian music from when I was 5 and won an award in 9th grade. I have also gave out many recitals in ky temple. I am the editor of my school newspaper and play varsity tennis from 11th grade, NHS member, won an award for volunteer services, also in clubs such as unity in diversity in which I hope to be vice president, history club which I hope to have a position in next year and math club. I am also in Science Olympaid and Masterminds, which is like College bowl.

Thanks for your time

I saw your post in one of the other forums. If you can get your SAT score up to a 2250 it might be worthwhile applying early. However, SAT score isn’t everything, and if you want to apply early you should have a solid application. If I were you, I would contact an admissions official from Notre Dame as they can give you advice about whether or not they think your application is competitive enough to apply early.

So ed here NYU or jhu

vampyfreak: Why does your Mom have your college board password? It’s big girl time now, take control of the college process and tell Mom to let go. Just my opinion. I hate chance threads because why does the opinion of a complete stranger matter. My advice, contact your local admission rep during the summer and ask their opinion. They know best. By the way, ND is EA not ED. Good luck.

No its not that she has it anymore either we just lost it and I got a 1540 on both sections and I am a boy

I personally think that chance posts are worthless because they usually come from people who are not involved in the admissions process, and they don’t truly give enough information about the candidate (letters of recommendations, essays etc. all play an important part in the admissions process). As both irishmary and I have previously stated, admissions reps know the school, and they can help you with your decision. However, if getting “chanced” on these threads is important to you, I think you should at least be honest about your stats.

How wasn’t I honest

In the NYU forum you posted a ‘chance me’ thread where you stated that you got 1850 on the SAT.

Yeah that was my first sitting this is my second one I took it twice that was before I received my march results

If that was the result from your second go, apologies for my post, and congrats on improving. I’m just going off what you posted in the other forum on April 11th: “Actually 2250 is what I am hoping for in October I got a 1850 in March. Sorry abt that”

That was my sophmore year anymore queries? And what would lying make me achieve in chance posts its not like lying here would make colleges take a score that is apparently made up.

As I am a bit pedantic…you did say you were a junior: <a href=“How "screwed" am I ? - New York University - College Confidential Forums”>How "screwed" am I ? - New York University - College Confidential Forums;

Anyways, if you really want other people to give you their opinions about your chances, you should give correct information so that they can give you their honest opinions. Furthermore, if there is an area you can improve upon, people might be able to give you useful advice. Giving out incorrect information basically renders a ‘chance me’ thread more useless than it already is.

The sat score was in my sophmire year thru kaplan

You posted on April 11 2012 that you got 1850 on the March SAT and that you are a junior, so I’m a bit confused. As I’ve already said, if you did get 2200 congratulations, I’m just letting you know how I interpreted your other post. It seems pointless to be going back and forth like this. Just so you know, posting incorrect information hurts you because you could miss out on potentially useful advice, and it wastes the time of the people who chance you.
