pratyush, does that mean that the LACs have an engineering major as well??

@fall2016parent : i have family, and my parents say they might move, like a 50% chance. if i get into a college, then they won’t probably, but if i do go to a community, they might.
what’s lac?

oh, liberal art colleges? :)

Yeah, I think LACs do have engg:

thanks guys.

@pratyush: I tried contacting her, but apparently she can’t get any messages because her inbox is full. o.O

ive heard that a bs in physics is a waste unless u do a ms or a phd. is that correct?

That, may hold some truth, as people taking physics usually take up research, which entails a phd.

so what if u major in some other field like computer science and minor in physics?

Most people who do practical fields like CS go into the industry. Of course the academic track is also open to all fields.

If you major in CS and minor in Physics, I’d imagine that you could work on the tech side of research, or maybe go in for Computer Engineering, which is the hardware side of technology (semiconductors, motherboards, etc.)
