Okay so Penn State is basically my dream school and I dont want to go anywhere else. As of right now i have a 98 GPA ( which i believe is a 4.0 im not to sure ) and I recently got a 29 on my ACT. Unfortunaltey my english/writing score is only a 25 because i got a 26 on english and an 8 on my essay. So what are my chances?! Will the writing/english score make a huge difference in the decision?!

Your GPA is what makes a huge difference in admissions. Is that weighted or unweighted? If its unweighted, your weighted must be very good, which would give you a great chance. http://admissions.psu.edu/info/counselors/bubble_chart.pdf

The 98 is my weighted
do i still have an okay shot?

Kayla,

I would personally say you have a very good shot of getting in. It couldn’t hurt to take the SAT’s or ACT’s again if you have time, but i’m pretty sure that a 29, along with your stellar gpa, would get you in. Hope my opinion counts!

ignore the bubble chart i believe it is highly inflated. Your grades are excellent and your ACT by itself is good enough to get you into the main campus.
