Chance Me please

Hi, I'm an incoming senior and would like to apply to Rutgers. (in state)

SAT : 2010 ( CR 590, M 740, W 680 ); retaking

GPA: 2.8 I go to a top 20 public school in New Jersey ranked about 200 out of 400

GPA is low, try 4.0 this year and bring it up to a min 3.0. SAT is good but it will not just help on deciding on you. You should have extracurricular activities also to make you a well rounded student. Even if you can’t 4.0 each marking period, at least try to bring up your GPA.

Pharmacy, engineering, and business are out of the question with subpar 3.3 gpa. SAS is obtainable if you can bring up your GPA somewhat.

BTW this is my opinion based on what i seen in threads and personal experience with other students.

eh, probably

I think you can get in, forget the SAT score. Don’t bother retaking it for RU, youre already in with that score. Just get your GPA up to a 3.3 at least and you have a 70% chance of getting in I’d say. I know people who had 1500s SAT (total) and 3.0s and got in. I think if you satisfy the listed suggestion above, youre a shoe in.

I got in with a 1750 SAT, 26 ACT, and 4.1/4.7 UW GPA and 3.6/4.0 W GPA

@hero gpa should be the other way around haha. But yeah i agree with everyone else, bring that gpa up!!
