I know it's hard because I'm still pretty young but any input would be highly appreciated

It certainly appears that you are on the right path. Keep working hard in your classes to maintain your grades, but the rigor of 8 APs certainly is solid. The 2100 SAT might be a bit low, but you are young and will likely improve after you have had more time to prepare for testing.

Your ECs look promising, but be sure to focus on accomplishments and depth of involvement, not just titles. Similarly, work on recommendations from people who know you well and are able to write about your specific achievements, regardless of where they attended school.

thank you so much! I really appreciate it

Notre Dame weighs test scores heavily. My EC’s amounted to a few years of xc and track and about 35 hrs of community service, and I got in EA.

if you don’t mind me asking what were your test scores?

Hi I’ll be going to ND next year so I can help. You look to be on the right track. The 50% SAT composite score for Class of 2016 candidates was 1460. At 1400, my officer said I was a tad low, which was why I got waitlisted. They really really like Valedictorians and Salutatorians (for whatever reason) at ND and also really like people who show a ton of interest in going to the school. With that in mind, start developing a relationship with your regional admissions officer. After being waitlisted, I repetitively contacted mine on a biweekly basis. Try to email your admissions officer once every couple of months at this point in time, keeping them updated or asking questions. They love applicants who show a ton of interest. Aside from that, keep up the good work and best of luck. You can only do so much in the admissions process, alot of it is a crapshoot.

thank you! you guys are really helping me out :)

I got a 35 on my ACT. I didn’t take the SAT.
