<p>Arcadia High School, CA ( 64th in CA, 346 in nation, 92 in STEM )</p>

<p>Major: Accounting and Information Systems / Management and Information Systems</p>

<p>ACT (Feb 2012): 27 ( ENG 26, M 35, CR 22, SCIENCE 25, ENG/ESSAY 26, ESSAY (9) ) most likely September retake</p>

<p>ACT (June 2012): 29 ( ENG 26, M 36, CR 20, SCIENCE 33, ENG/ESSAY 26, ESSAY (9) ) most likely September retake</p>

<p>SAT I: 1810 ( CR 460, M 730, W 620 ); may retake</p>

<p>SAT II: MATH 2 (780), CHEM (710), Bio (670)</p>

<p>GPA (10/11): 3.54 (uw) , 3.875 (w, assuming cutoff is 8 extra points)</p>

<p>AP/HONORS (10/11): English 10 H, PRE-Calc (h), calc a (h), dev. of civ. (h), AP Biology, AP Chemistry, AP Calculus B/C, AP Computer Science</p>

<p>AP/HONORS (12) : AP SPANISH LITERATURE, AP STATISTICS, AP PHYSICS C</p>

<p>Extracurriculars: Solar Cup, Tennis Team, Applied Engineering Club, Leo Club, Robotics Club/Team</p>

<p>What should I do to help my APP and what are my chances to get into SCU?</p>

<p>You can tell here that English/Critical Reading are not your strong suits. Not that that’s bad; but with admissions, you’re going to want to look more well-balanced than that. I’d work especially hard on some practice tests, test preparation, etc. and retake either the SAT or the ACT early in the fall–October–to try to up those two scores. That 460 is a major outlier and question mark here.</p>

<p>(I feel like I read somewhere that some colleges look at the Critical Reading score on the SAT more as a measure of how a student would perform in college-level math than the Math section…I don’t know how true that is though…).</p>
