Oh, sorry didn’t see the ACT. Very high score for higher tier UCs but GPA is still a bit low un/weighted. Would definitely suggest you apply to the UCs you want, but make sure to couple your apps with fantastic rec’s and essays in order to boost your chances :)

Thanks. I know my gpa slipped up a bit… took all the ap classes available at my school and then didn’t do so well. Thanks for the imput! Anybody else?

Your SAT score is above 2000 is fine for UCLA and UC Berkeley. The average there is about 2000, so you are OK.

But your unweighted GPA is what might sink your boat. Try to increase that GPA and get it to a 3.0 or 3.2. However, since your GPA is pretty low your SAT has to be higher than the norm, so maybe a 2100 or 2200 would cancel out that GPA. Also with the ACT, you should try to get it as high as possible maybe a 34 or 35, because of that low GPA.

And also write in your essays maybe why did you get a low GPA. Did you have any hardship or etc?

UCLA, UCB, UCSD- High reach
UCSC, UCI, UC Davis- Middle reach
UCR and UC Merced- Match
