Chance me Please!

This is for Cal Poly. I'm told they don't look at extracurriculars so I am not going to post them.

Out of state
CSU GPA: 4.0 weighted CSU GPA 4.1667
SAT: MATH:690 Reading: 520 Writing: 600
ACT: Math: 32 Reading: 20 Writing:24 Science:29 Composite:26
Major: Mechanical Engineering
I am taking the ACT again in September.

With what I have right now is there a chance I could get in? This would be my top choice. If they looked at extracurriculars I am sure I would get in.

Pomona or slo?

San Luis Obispo

Your GPA looks fine, but your test scores are low. You should also note mechanical engineering is on the harder side of getting into at CPSLO since its one of the more popular disciplines, and they admit by major.

Low reach maybe?

Cal Poly SLO uses the eligibility index to select students. With your weighted GPA and SAT scores calculated, you would have an eligibility of 4542.8 which makes a good match for Cal Poly SLO. Unfortunately since you’re out of state its going to be even harder for you to get in. I THINK they look at ECs but they dont carry too much weight. Its mainly academics/eligibility index. Check to see if Cal Poly SLO is offering Early Action or Early Decision(if you really want to get into this school).

[Chance me back for San Diego State Univ?](http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1369973-chance-me-san-diego-state-univ.html)

What eligibility index should I be looking for?

Just kidding, I just double checked and it said slo does NOT admit by eligibility index. They use sat/act, Gpa, and major for admissions. Sorry about that, I thought all csu’s used th eligibility index

Would my chances be increased if I apply early decision
