<p>I want to go to Cal Poly SLO.
I am from Washington state.
I will be majoring in Mechanical Engineering.</p>

<p>Would applying ED increase my chances of admittance?</p>

<p>I have plenty of good extracurricular but Cal Poly doesn't look at them i'm told.</p>

<p>I think that you have a great shot at Cal Poly. Your GPA is excellent, and if I were you I’d sent in your SAT, not your ACT. If possible, I’d urge you to retake the SAT if you only took it once because your reading score is a bit low. I don’t think they take writing into account. But yeah, I’d put money on you getting in.
