This summer I did a Sustainability Initiative Community service trip in the Dominican Republic, where I studied sustainability and helped implement sustainable development initiatives in different villages. I also participated in Economics for Leaders, a week-long college level economics and leadership course sponsored by Foundation for Teaching Economics. Lastly, I did a Learn and Build Experience trip with Habitat for Humanity, a 10-day community service trip for 16-18 year olds in which we worked on houses and learned about Habitat and the issues with poverty housing.</p>
