Your scores are a little weak considering, but this is Bowdoin. A lot of ECs, and particularly interesting ones. You have a great chance of getting in.

Vitalik – Did you contact Bowdoin’s cross-country coach yet??? Assuming you are interested in continuing your athletic career in college, your cross-country credentials are strong and could be worth a bump in the admissions process. If you have not yet done so, you should think about filling out this on-line form out to get that side of things going:

This post kind of highlights why not all grade are created equal. I think a college woudl find it odd that someone who got the top US History grde at the “top highschool” in the state would have a 640 on the SAT II. The lack of APs, even if not your fault, also highlights the lack of stregnth in program. I do think you have great EC and would really suggest you find a way to be able to present some killer scores on standardized tests.

definitely retake your test scores if you still have a chance. your ‘low’ scores do not match at all with the rest of your profile and that seems very strange.
btw what is the parafiada olympiad?

Arkansas resident originally from Belarus? Arkansas ice hockey? Cross country too? Writer, not for profit founder? Yeah get your scores up if you can but you are a great candidate based on above plus the interesting things you are writing and studying. They don’t have a lot of Arkansas ice hockey players or runners at Bowdoin (or at Middlebury or at Pomona or Carleton- you get the drift).
