Chance me please?

I'm not sure exactly how I fare here. I'm in 12th now, and still hesitant on what I'm doing in college, but if Georgetown does seem to be the place for me...:

Gender: female
Race: white
Location: Oklahoma

ACT: 35 (Math: 36, Reading: 36, English: 36, Writing: 10, Science: 31) If it matters, I've only taken it once
SAT: 2180 (Math: 760, Reading: 730, Writing: 690) Also only taken once
SAT lls: taking math l, ll, and lit ASAP
PSAT: 209 (hopefully NMS for Oklahoma...)

GPA:
U/W: 3.98 (the only B was first semester of algebra ll freshman year)
W: 4.2 at the moment, but taking 5 weighted classes this year and expecting As in all of them, so I have a much higher expected GPA

APs:
11th: World, Calc AB, Physics B, Lang
12th: Lit, Government, Comparative Politics, Micro, Macro, Bio (also taking calc ll and will take the BC test this spring)

Classes: the only on-level class I took was US history; everything else has been Pre-AP except for Spanish l and ll, band, and debate.

ECs:
-Debate (9-12): will have gone to state for 3 years, tons of regional tournament placements, and President of the team both 11th and 12th grade, and won leadership awards both years
-History International Club (11-12): we go to cultural fairs and volunteer at them, I am VP in 12th
-Key Club (9-12): board member in 11th
-Church Choir (9-12): section leader 12th
-Church Youth Group (9-12): president 12th
-Mock Trial (12)
-Model UN (12): helped begin the club
-Girl Scouts (9-12): Bronze and Gold Awards
-Pre-Med Society (10-12)
-NHS (10-12)
-Spanish Club (10-11)
-Church Musical (9): lead role
-Band (9)

Volunteering:
-Service Award from school
-300+ hours at church camp, a local hospice/daycare, and through Girl Scouts

Work:
-Helped teach at debate camp at a local university summer before 12th
-babysitting, petsitting, house cleaning, etc. (probably 5 hours a week on average throughout all of high school)

Hobbies:
-running (nothing major in terms of accomplishments)
-sewing (volunteered at a camp summer before 12th, taking classes now at a local shop)

I feel like nothing is super great, especially since I've jumped between ECs each year- I've always done debate, Key Club, and choir, but the other ones have changed.

Forgot to mention that my school doesn’t rank kids.

I am also a teacher in the debate class this year, and 10-12 I tutored debate teams outside of school and at local tournaments.

I am also part of a board with two other teenagers and a 10 or so adults for an orphanage/school in China which my local church district supports.

Last year in Key Club we raised at $11,000 for a local food bank, at an event which I helped plan/run.

You will be a strong applicant.
Good luck!

Your ECs are nothing spectacular (fairly bland), but your grades are good and your ACT is stellar. Try your hardest to rock the SAT IIs that you decide to take, and I think you should be pretty solid. Now, that’s not to say that you’re a shoo-in–they could want someone with more of a “life story”, more focused and meaningful ECs, ets–but I think that you stand a good chance.

As you know, though, admissions is always a crapshoot, so if you don’t get it, it’s not because you lack something academically. At this point, though, is there really any point in worrying? Just go ahead and apply if you think you’d like it here, and if you don’t get in, it’s not the end of the world. Besides, being in your senior year, there’s nothing that you can do to change your resume now…except for owning some subject tests.

As long as you write a good essay, I’d say you’re in.
