Chance me please!!

Out of State senior
Plan to apply engineering program for early decision
1740 for SAT (CR: 510 and Math:710)
96 GPA, which is around 3.9/4 i believe
took 6 APs
Joined 4 clubs and band, but not president or anything for any of those
Worst thing is I do not have a lot of community service hours, but I volunteer to just help out my friends or my neighbors

SO, please chance me. I am going to do VT for 1st choice def, just wonder can I really get in, esp for the engineering program.

Looks good, but can
t say for sure…the engineering admittance is competitive. Do volunteering to be safe. My AP history teacher said that one of her former students told her that she didn
t get in with a 4.0…and we`re in-state.

My CR is quite low, i wonder will that affect my possibility?

Yes, your CR is quite low. I can’t find the average SATs for accepted engineering students from last year but if I recall correctly your 510 is well below average. Did you take the SAT more than one time? If there’s a risk it’s that you may be accepted into university studies instead of engineering.

Stepyip,

You can see the SAT and GPA Data for the current and previous freshmen classes by going to the website for the Office of Institutional Research & Effectiveness. The address is:

Select College of Engineering
Select 2012 (or whatever year you want to see)

You also can get information about the profile of the students who were accepted into university studies by selecting the InterCollege Tab and 2012. That brings up an Excel spreadsheet about the students accepted into University Studies.
