Chance me please!

I was an exchange student in Norway my junior year, so I'm marked as a 3-year grad, and I have to resend my transcripts in January with this semester's grades on them. I currently have a 6.0 for this semester, so I'm hoping my GPA with go up. I will still graduate with 30+ credits even though I only technically was enrolled in school 3 years.

A Honor Roll
Leadership training at YMCA camp for 2 summers
Job at Chipotle 25-30 hours a week

2 pre-college programs for college credit at Pratt Institute and Parsons School of Design over summers 2011 and 2012

I worked really hard on my essay and wrote about my experience going abroad during my junior year.

My one big turn off on my app is a 0 I got in an online class because I was dropped from it while I was in Norway. I explained how it happened on my app, and I am currently retaking the class so the grade will probably be replaced by the time I resend my transcript.

I think you have a great chance at UF… I even think if you apply to honors theres a chance you could get in there  Good luck!

Thanks
But I think the qualification for honors is 2070 on the SATs…I was considering retaking them in December but I don’t know where I could jump up on points…

In “MY” opinion, you have a good chance of acceptance as long as you are applying as an in state applicant. If you are considered an out of state applicant, then your chances are just average.

Yea, too bad UF doesn’t take residency into account during the admissions process. They only consider it for scholarships.

In state and OOS students have the exact same chances.

Also: You’re in. Don’t worry about it.

I’m in-state. But I heard that the state universities have to include all the districts in Florida when admitting students. So is it true I’m at a disadvantage because I’m from a large county (Broward)?

^^^Idk where you heard that, but they have to do no such thing. UF will refute time and time again the notion that they have a “cap” on counties, schools, or in state vs. OOS students.
