Chance me please :)

NE is my first choice and I'm planning on applying RD. I don't know exactly where I stand so any advice or comments would help! I'm an athlete but due to a recent injury, I don't know if I'll be recruited. My rowing club is quite prestigious and is regularly ranked 1st or 2nd nationally. With that said, I spend about 30 hours/week with rowing which is also why my academic side isn't the strongest.

GPA: 3.5
SAT: 1880 (math: 670| reading: 610 | writing: 600) --> I'll be taking the Dec. sat as well

Ranking: not available at my school

Ethnic: Asian (won't help)

Gender: Female

AP's I've taken: Psychology, U.S. History, Environmental Science, Government, and Statistics
Honors: Biology, Global Studies, Chemistry
Co-founder of the Environmental Club
Newspaper Club
CSF member (9,10,11,12)
4 Years of Symphonic Band
Rowing: 3 years (2nd year Varsity)- Most Improved Novice Year
Piano: 12 Years
Community Service: Help under-priviliged children and elderly (over 100 hours)
Internship: Fiona Ma (Congresswomen)
Intended Major: Undecided (maybe Business but I'm really not sure)

Hmm…I would try to be recruited if NU is your first choice, especially if you are a female. Without that hook your chances are somewhat unpredictable. If your Dec SAT goes up to around 2000 you would be in better shape. To be honest, I am skeptical as to whether you would receive any merit.

Good luck! Your ECs show quite the dedication so you have reason to be hopeful. :)

Thanks for the feedback. Northeastern is one of my top schools so I know it’s unpredictable.
