Chance Me Please?

<p>Hey, I wasn't able to apply ED because of financial reasons, but I made it clear that GW is my first choice by visiting twice and interviewing. I am applying to major in political science. </p>

<p>SAT: 1880 (CR-660 M-650 W-570)</p>

<p>GPA: 3.9, Rank: top 10% out of a class of 300</p>

<p>I took all honors freshman and sophomore year (except math)
Junior year classes: Spanish 4H, AP US History, AP Lang, AP Psychology, precalc, and band.
Senior year classes: AP Calc AB, AP lit and comp, AP Euro history, advanced physics 2, band, yearbook production, economics, sociology </p>

<p>Activities:
-Swim Team (4 years)
-Marching Band (4 Years)- Captain my senior year
-JSA (4 years)- founding member
-Key Club (3 years)
-Blood drive volunteer (4 years)
-Boy's State- Elected assemblyman
-I play trumpet in the jazz, pit, and concert bands.
-I acted in 2 school plays
-Social studies honor society, national honor society, and tri-m honor society.
-I have worked as a life guard and a waiter throughout high school. </p>

I wrote a great supplement essay </p>

<p>Thank you. Something just occurred to me. Is your 3.9 GPA weighted or unweighted?</p>

<p>Weighted, my school doesn’t give out un-weighted GPA’s.</p>

<p>OK, that’s what I thought. I was just making sure. From the looks of the correlation between your GPA and class rank, it seems that your school is quite competitive. If so, that will certainly help your chances as well.</p>

<p>My school is ranked 42 i NJ…which I guess is good? Not an expert on these things. But I appreciate you’re input.</p>
