Chance Me please!!!

I am from Pennsylvania and i am extremely interested in UGA.
Unweighted GPA: 3.7
Weighted: 4.0
SATS (absolutely terrible) 1500
Definitely retaking them and probably will get 300 higher, because I just started taking a class.
EC: Cheerleading, Dance Team, SAD club, SAFE club, Interactive club, ski club, Spanish club.
Any other suggestions or advice would be extremely helpful especially being from the north!

Also attending National Merit Medical Forum on University of North Carolina. Applying for Georgetowns Medical Institue and just got invited to National Merit Leadership Forum at Harvard.
AP: Psychology
Honors: Biology, Chemistry, English Honors

Fantastic ECs. The SAT is going to bite you in the butt! You must get at least a 1800 to make it into the safe zone.

UGA being a flagship school makes OOS more competitive. Your course rigor is very weak. Admissions will see that when they look at your GPA. Unfortunately, anyone can make a 4.0 without taking any difficult courses.

Your GPA is in the green though, or should I say red? :)

my honors ap and summer programs are my second post!!!

I saw, I edited my post. Sorry I missed it the first time.

I would say you have decent chances, but I would highly recommend taking more AP courses next year and that SAT has to hit the average. OOS is more competitive than in-state, and averages are skewed towards in-state students.

Freshman Entering class of 2012(last year)'s profile:

Good luck!
Go Dogs!

According to the Admissions Blog, OOS admissions criteria is the same as instate. Check out the blog as it has a lot of useful information.

Agree that your standardized test scores are the weakest link in your application. You might want to consider also taking the ACT.

Hope that helps and the best of luck to you.
