What are my chances of getting in. I know admission notifications are soon, but I'd like some relief from my anxiety...

Your URM status, music talent, and rigorous curriculum may help offset your test scores (which are on the low side for W&L – for example, most departments do not give credit for AP scores below 5, and that 3 on the AP English Comp is a red flag for a school where students write a lot). If the music department happens to need opera students, that would improve your odds. Would consider it a low reach – hope you receive happy news from the admissions office soon!

Thank you! Yeah, my test scores suck. I’m terrible at math. However, I’m actually a really good writer. The essays on the ap exam weren’t what landed me a 3 -.- But thank you! Anyone else?

Bump? Anyone else?

Race will help, EC will help, those test scores are pretty rough though.

Are they really that bad? I thought my sat 2s were bad but I don’t think the sat 1 is so terrible. I hope with everything combined, I will be able to get in. Thanks :)

I really hope you are admitted, because you come across as a really talented, smart person in your posts. The objective facts, though, are that you SAT scores are pretty low for W&L. The published SAT 25th percentile for W&L in 2011 was 1310 for CR + M, 1960 for CR + M + W. That means 75% of the kids who matriculated had scores higher than that. So, extrapolating, you might be in the 10th-15th percentile.
I don’t believe SAT scores predict much more than how well you are likely to do in your first year. And every other part of your r

Please let us know as you sound like the type of student that would benefit W and L in many ways!

PS :The Johnson scholars drive the percentiles much higher so your SAT I scores and GPA (coming from an excellent school) are better than the numbers suggest.

I definitely will  does anyone know when we will find out about admissions?

Thanks for the encouragement! I didn’t get to apply for the scholarship :(

Your can log-on the W&L admissions page tonight at 8 pm EST and find out your admission status.

Best of luck
