With your EC’s, it seems as if you just tried to make your resume longer. However, people like you make me jealous. Your GPA is great, and you’ve taken a great amount of AP classes, more than my school offers, and it’s a good public school, too. The only one I can rank is Boston College, and you’ve got great chances for that.

Keep in mind, if you’re part of a bunch of clubs that look good but haven’t really accomplished anything OUTSTANDING (fundraising like 2,000 dollars for ex.), they will prefer someone with half as many EC’s. I see you are part of some organizations that may/ have this potential, it’d be even better if you could say “I did this on my own…I raised this!” etc.

*half as many EC’s that has done something outstanding with them

Thanks for replying! I know it seems like a lot of my ECs were done just to make my resume longer but I was mainly trying to figure out what I wanted to focus my time on. Would it be a good idea to leave some of them out on my apps? I spend most of my time on debate, marching band, and volunteering at the museum.
