Please Chance Me, for the colleges. If there's anything more you need to know, feel free to tell me. :)

Anyways, what exactly were your eleventh grade marks?? And do you know anyone else who is applying from Kerala?? Oh and has anyone from your school/college ever gone abroad??

Im no expert but I feel that you should have gone beyond school and done something at the district/state/national level.(Pls do so If you still have the time) Also SAT looks fine for most except UMich/UIUC/UTAustin/GATech well that’s fine but all these 4 colleges you picked put a lot of emphasis on Grades and SAT scores…so if your 11th marks were good you should stand a chance…

And Financial Aid…?? Do you/can you pay for college in entirety…cause UIUC/UMich etc are state schools and don’t give financial help to internationals.

Oh and try to boost up that SAT score…if you can…U will get into ANY school on that list with a 2100+ SAT score(and decent grades :p) You should do fine I guess.

Hope I have helped :)

AEROSPACE ENGINEERING! <3 Ok. I need to calm down. First off, let me warn you. I’m usually a little nonchalant on CC but I’ll be harsh this time simply because Aerospace ( <3 ) and I hope you get in somewhere awesome.

Seriously, GTech has an absolutely amazing program. Give it your best. What quiver said- try for a second time SAT or I’d suggest giving the ACT once. Colleges evaluate them equally and some people are just better at one over the other. Your extracurriculars are ok I guess but they don’t really show directed passion. Get what I’m saying? If you don’t have time to try some stuff out of school, try publishing on a website or make a blog or something. Make sure your essays are focused and directed on what REALLY stirs you up and intrigues you. In my opinion (and the bit of experience I’ll pretend to have gathered with this year’s admissions), essays are usually make or break. Do you have a chance? Probably. I’d say with a good transcript and well-written essays, you’ll get in to any college on your list. Again, admissions are coin-tosses so no guarantees here.

@firefliesdance I’ve been working on my essay all summer. I hope it turns out rather good. And about the ECs, I have actually written a few blogs and I regularly answer very good questions pertaining to Science And Mathematics in Yahoo Answers and also help various students with homework help. And yeah, My top priorities are,

Cal Poly, SLO

GATech

UMich

UIUC

UMCP

By the way, have you taken up a major in aero? :)

I’m actually joining college only this fall. Lol. That is, if I decide to go to the US after all. And yes, I’m planning on majoring in Aerospace.

Please Note: My Top Priorities are :

 1. Cal Poly, SLO
 2. GATech
 3. Purdue
 4. UMich
 5. UIUC
 6. UMCP

And Do the other ECs like answering questions on Yahoo, blogs etc. count? Please advise. Thanks In advance.
