solid EC with captain position to show as leadership qualities to admissions committees… ACT is solid but still only 50% at Brown 45% at Columbia and UPenn, and even less at Yale
your ACT look competitive for Cornell, especially if u apply ED
GPA is solid and competitive, both W and UW
AP scores are a concern, though. You may be “qualified” for each course, but there are plenty of feloow applicants who are “well qualified” or “extremely well qualified” for some if not all of the same ones you took

all being said and knowing that Ivy Leagues are low reaches for even the best students,

Villanova match
Boston College match
Boston University match
Tufts match/low reach
NYU match
Cornell University low reach if u apply ED
Northeastern low reach (also think about ED)
Yale University reach
Brown University low reach if apply ED
Duke University reach/low reach
University of Pennsylvania reach (even if u apply ED)
Georgetown University low reach/match
Columbia University reach

BC, BU, northeastern, NYU: match (consider ED for low match)
Cornell, duke, tufts: low reach (consider ED for match/high match)
Yale, UPenn, Brown, Columbia: reach (consider ED for low reach)

BC does not have men’s crew program. Believe all the others schools do. Also Holy Cross competes in the highly prestigious ECAC which includes the Ivies.

Apply ED and work on essays for cornell. I really think you’ll get in if you put time into your application. Your columns are very impressive. Try to get some writing awards and I think you’re good. I think you’ll get in but nothing’s for sure and the school is definitely not a safety. You may also consider taking a writing course at a local university or community college… Maybe start a charity?
