Good Recs, Good Essay

Major in Communications

I'm a white male from NY
Thank you ❤

I would advise against sending the subject tests–is your ACT plus writing? It’s a very good score, nonetheless. Being a contributor to Polish + Yiddish newspapers is really cool.

CALs is probably a reach/low reach; have you considered doing ED (if finances aren’t a concern and you’re really sold on it)?

I actually am doing ED. And yes it is plus writing. I only got an 8 on the essay.

That should be a bit of a boost. From what I’ve read, colleges really don’t care about the essay portion on the ACT or SAT: you take it, then it’s shoved in a corner.

I’d still place it as a reach, but it’s a reach for essentially everyone (the essentially qualifier being for those few superhuman mutants among us.) Good luck in applications!

Can I get a second opinion?

Reach. Definitely.
GPA may be a little low but ECs are good.

Good luck! Definitely stand out through the essay!

Oh! And I probably would be hesitant sending your subject tests!
Do you need them if you send the ACT?

What can I do to boost my App?

Anybody care to chance me?
